Better Eating – Bento Workshop

Looking for a way to change up what you bring to work for lunch? Why not take a cue from the Japanese tradition of bento? Forest Aker and Director Scott Aker will guide you as you create an interesting Japanese-style lunch. Each participant will get a reusable bento box and we’ll learn how to prepare delicious, fun, and interesting components to arrange in them. Learn about the importance of sushi-grade rice, how to bread and fry with panko, make sauces to your own taste, and create some cute vegetables with bento cutters—limited to 12 participants. All kitchen equipment and ingredients are provided. Fee: $40.
