
The area that comprises both the Sensory
Garden and Gazebo is adjacent to our perennial border and near our compost
demonstration.
The concept of the Sensory Garden is to
grow plants that stimulate all of the senses. This bed was rebuilt by local
boy scouts in 2003 (see below). It is a raised gardening bed for easier
access by those with disabilities.
The
Gazebo was funded by the local XJWC club and constructed by husbands of
members of that club. It was one of the first projects undertaken when the
Cheyenne Botanic Gardens moved to its current site in Lions Park back in 1986.
