Cheyenne Frontier Days™ Old West Museum where the vitality, drama and
romance of life in the West comes alive. Since the early days of the cattle
industry and the advent of the Union Pacific Railroad, Cheyenne and Wyoming
have played an integral part in the development of the West. The Old West
Museum gives residents and visitors to Wyoming an opportunity to discover
and experience our heritage through exhibits, educational programs and
research opportunities.
Cheyenne Frontier Days™ Old West Museum preserves, promotes and
perpetuates the history and meaning of the Cheyenne Frontier Days™
celebration and the history, values and culture of the American West.

interprets, conserves and exhibits collections pertaining to the history and
material culture of Cheyenne Frontier Days, the city of Cheyenne, Laramie
County and the state of Wyoming.
